Pooja Majmudar is a Ph. D in molecular biology, seasoned healthcare and life sciences executive, digital health investment professional and well recognized thought leader. Pooja is known for her extensive network across the healthcare venture capital and startup ecosystem in the US and strong track record bridging groundbreaking research to enabling real market success.
As Investment Partner, Pooja is a core member of the KELES team, leading transatlantic expansion initiatives, connecting KELES portfolio companies with the $4 trillion U.S. healthcare market as well as cultivating new European – US relations across the digital health ecosystem and KELES value chain.
Investment experience
Over the last 15 years, Pooja has worked closely with entrepreneurs and leading scientists, evaluated over 3,000 early-stage opportunities, worked with over 300 startups, and authored influential publications and reports, becoming a keystone the healthcare life sciences industry landscape. Pooja’s doctoral research was exclusively licensed to Promontory Therapeutics, showcasing her ability to translate scientific innovation into impactful applications.
As Director of Healthcare Lifesciences Banking at Silicon Valley Bank, Pooja cultivated relationships with key players across multiple technology sectors, identified and supported high-potential startups by leveraging her vast network of founders, investors, and executives to drive results.
Prior to SVB, her roles spanned almost a decade at leading (R1) research institutions (Rutgers, Temple, and New York University), where Pooja helped create exciting partnerships and ventures side by side with some of the world’s leading scientists at world class institutions including, NYU, Mt. Sinai. MIT, Cornell, Hebrew University to name a few. Working closely with department heads, Pooja built a reputation for herself as a champion of innovators and was also a key auxiliary in attracting over $3.0mn in partnerships with the private sector and other funding agencies.

A frequently invited guest speaker at national and international conferences, Pooja’s thought leadership resonates across various platforms.
